What is knowdialogue?

It is not a new buzz word (management already has enough of those). It merely means that knowledge and dialogue are intrinsically and practically connected. You could also say that knowledge and the ethics of dialogue are connected.
Of course, this depends on your definition of the terms. But if you regard knowledge as the dialogue that starts in the mind and is amplified between people, and as the result of those dialogues, then the links between the two will be visible.
The ethics of dialogue is about fairness, openness and mutual respect. This in fact already starts in the individual. The person who has a hard time to be fair with himself or herself, will be less likely to arrive at dependable knowledge, or, in other words, will be less certain that what he or she believes is in fact known. Between people, fairness, openness and respect are relevant to the kind of knowledge produced, because of the quality of the input and of the interaction. Would you offer valuable input to people who do not respect you? Perhaps not. But if you are working with people who treat you with respect and who you treat with respect, you will be more likely to come up with something of value and offer honest feedback
